What is the playtest process?
The playtest process allows players to explore the game world, interact with the mechanics, and provide feedback to help improve Shroudwake RPG. Playtesters will receive regular updates and be asked to participate in feedback sessions.
How can I provide feedback?
Currently, Shroudwake is in a Friends and Family playtest cycle and thus limited in participants. As we incorporate this early feedback we'll be looking to open up the playtest to more participants. Keep checking back!
What should I expect during playtesting?
Expect to encounter both fully polished features and areas that are still in development. Bugs, balancing issues, and incomplete content may be present as we refine Shroudwake RPG. During the playtest, you will have access to the complete version of Shroudwake as of that point in the playtest cycle.
What will crowd sourcing Shroudwake look like?
Crowdsourcing this fantasy TTRPG will allow players to contribute ideas for new lore, Writs, mutations, and world expansions, with the community voting on their favorites to become canon. This collaborative approach lets the player base shape the game’s future, ensuring it grows and evolves alongside its community.
Will contributors get paid?
Absolutely that's our plan, in addition to having their name added to credits for publications. We have not yet worked out specifics though.
When will Shroudwake be released?
This is TBD at the moment. We have a goal that we are working towards; however, it is still to early to share as we wouldn't want to disappoint. Largely, it will depend on the feedback we get from the playtest cycles. That will ultimately determine when Shroudwake is ready to be released.
